Oil Spills Report was started because of the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill.  However, we will cover other oil spills that occur around the globe.  Although we seldom hear about other oil spills, they occur constantly.

I spoke with Greg Lyssy, EPA Region 6 Environmental Engineer and Senior Project Coordinator, at the Slidell (LA) High School during the St. Tammany Parrish Town Hall Meeting.  He stated that oil spills occur “all the time”.

So the decision was made to start OilSpillsReport.com to bring to you information about the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill and other oil spills as it becomes available.  It is my hope that the information here helps you be informed about oil spills.  Oil spills are devastating in many ways if they aren’t contained and cleaned up immediately.
