Theodore, AL New Oil Spill Responder Base

June 5, 2010: Theodore, Alabama View Larger Map In a press interview, Admiral Thad Allen, Gulf Oil Spill Unified Commander, stated that a new Qualified Community Responder Program has been established here in Theodore, Alabama. Looking to recruit 4000 unemployed, 2700 have been hired. The Base has also signed up 443 vessels of opportunity to help with the clean-up effort. The Theodore, Alabama site is a processing and dispatching site. Workers will carry supplies, clean rocks and operate bobcats during the clean-up.
